1 Kings 1

1Ki 1:1 And King David was old, going into days. And they covered him with garments, for he had no heat.
1Ki 1:2 And his servants said to him, Let them seek out a young woman for my lord the king, a virgin, and she shall stand before the king, and be a nurse to him, and lie in your bosom, and my lord the king shall have heat.
1Ki 1:3 And they sought out a beautiful young woman in all the border of Israel. And they found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her in to the king.
1Ki 1:4 And the young woman was exceedingly beautiful, and she was a nurse to the king and served him. But the king did not know her.
1Ki 1:5 And Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will reign. And he prepared a chariot for himself, and horsemen, and fifty men running before his face.
1Ki 1:6 And his father had not troubled him all his days, saying, Why have you done so? And he also was very good of form, and one had borne him after Absalom.
1Ki 1:7 And his words were with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest. And they helped, going after Adonijah.
1Ki 1:8 But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men who were to David, were not with Adonijah.
1Ki 1:9 And Adonijah sacrificed sheep and oxen and fatlings near the Stone of Serpents which is near En-rogel. And he called all his brothers, the sons of the king, and all the men of Judah, the servants of the king.
1Ki 1:10 But he did not call Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and his brother Solomon.
1Ki 1:11 And Nathan spoke to Bathsheba, the mother of Solomon, saying, Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns, and our lord David does not know?
1Ki 1:12 And now, come, please let me counsel you with counsel, and save your life, and the life of your son Solomon.
1Ki 1:13 Go up and go in to King David. And you shall say to him, My lord, O king, have you not sworn to your handmaid, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne? And why does Adonijah reign?
1Ki 1:14 Behold, while you are speaking with the king, then I will come in after you and will confirm your words.
1Ki 1:15 And Bathsheba came in to the king, to the inner room. And the king was old, and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king.
1Ki 1:16 And Bathsheba bowed and knelt before the king. And the king said, What shall I do for you?
1Ki 1:17 And she said to him, My lord, you have sworn to your handmaid by Jehovah your God, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.
1Ki 1:18 And now, behold, Adonijah reigns. And now, my lord O king, you have not known.
1Ki 1:19 And he sacrifices oxen, and fatlings, and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king’s sons, and Abiathar the priest and Joab the commander of the army. But he has not called to your servant Solomon.
1Ki 1:20 And you, my lord O king, the eyes of Israel are on you, to tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
1Ki 1:21 And it will be, when my lord the king lies with his fathers, that I, my son Solomon and I, shall be offenders.
1Ki 1:22 And, behold, she was speaking with the king, and Nathan the prophet came in.
1Ki 1:23 And they told the king, saying, Behold, Nathan the prophet! And he came in before the king and bowed to the king, his nose to the earth.
1Ki 1:24 And Nathan said, My lord O king, have you said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne?
1Ki 1:25 For he has gone down today and sacrificed oxen, and fatlings, and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king’s sons, and the army commanders, and Abiathar the priest. And behold, they are eating and drinking before him, and they are saying, Let King Adonijah live!
1Ki 1:26 But as for me, I, your servant, and for Zadok the priest, and for Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and for your servant Solomon, he has not called.
1Ki 1:27 If this thing is to come about from my lord the king, then you have not caused your servant to know who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
1Ki 1:28 And King David replied and said, Call Bathsheba for me. And she came in before the king, and stood before the king.
1Ki 1:29 And the king swore and said, As Jehovah lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all distress,
1Ki 1:30 surely as I swore to you by Jehovah, the God of Israel, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place; surely so I will do this day.
1Ki 1:31 And Bathsheba bowed her face to the earth, even bowing to the king, and said, Let my lord King David live forever.
1Ki 1:32 And King David said, Call Zadok the priest for me and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came in before the king.
1Ki 1:33 And the king said to them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and you shall cause my son Solomon to ride on my mule, and cause him to go down to Gihon.
1Ki 1:34 And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet shall anoint him there as king over Israel. And you shall blow with the ram’s horn and shout, Let King Solomon live!
1Ki 1:35 And you shall come up after him, and let him come and sit on my throne, for he shall reign in my place. For I have appointed him ruler over Israel, and over Judah.
1Ki 1:36 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king and said, Amen! So says Jehovah the God of my lord the king.
1Ki 1:37 As Jehovah has been with my lord the king, so shall He be with Solomon, and shall make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.
1Ki 1:38 And Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went out and caused Solomon to ride on King David’s mule, and caused him to go to Gihon.
1Ki 1:39 And Zadok the priest took the horn of oil out of the Tabernacle and anointed Solomon. And they blew with the ram’s horn, and all the people shouted, Let King Solomon live!
1Ki 1:40 And all the people came up after him. And the people were piping with pipes, and rejoicing with great joy. And the earth was torn with their sound.
1Ki 1:41 And Adonijah heard, and all those invited, who were with him. And they stopped eating. And Joab heard the sound of the ram’s horn, and said, What is this noise roaring from the city?
1Ki 1:42 And he was still speaking, and, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came in. And Adonijah said, Come in, for you are a mighty man and bear good news.
1Ki 1:43 And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Truly our lord, King David, has caused Solomon to reign.
1Ki 1:44 And the king sent Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet with him, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites. And they caused him to ride on the king’s mule.
1Ki 1:45 And they anointed him, Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet, as king in Gihon. And they have come up from there rejoicing. And the city was roaring. It is the noise that you heard.
1Ki 1:46 And also Solomon has sat on the throne of the kingdom.
1Ki 1:47 And also the king’s servants have come in to bless our lord, King David, saying, Your God shall make the name of Solomon better than your name, and his throne greater than your throne. And the king bowed himself on the bed.
1Ki 1:48 And also the king has said, Blessed is Jehovah the God of Israel who has today given one sitting on my throne, and my eyes seeing it.
1Ki 1:49 And they trembled and rose up, all those who were invited by Adonijah, and left, each to his way.
1Ki 1:50 And Adonijah was afraid because of Solomon, and he rose up and went and lay hold on the horns of the altar.
1Ki 1:51 And it was told to Solomon, saying, Adonijah is afraid of King Solomon. And, behold, he has laid hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let King Solomon swear to me as of today that he will not put his servant to death by the sword.
1Ki 1:52 And Solomon said, If he becomes a son of virtue, not a hair of his head shall fall to the earth. But if evil is found in him, then he shall die.
1Ki 1:53 And King Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came in and bowed to King Solomon. And Solomon said to him, Go to your house.

1 Samuel 12

1Sa 12:1 And Samuel said to all Israel, Behold, I have heard your voice, to all that you said to me, and I made a king to reign over you.
1Sa 12:2 And now, behold, the king is walking before you, but I am old and gray. And, behold, my sons, they are with you. And I have walked before your face from my youth until this day.
1Sa 12:3 Behold, I am here! Testify against me before Jehovah and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, and whose ass have I taken, and whom have I offended? Whom have I crushed, and from whose hand have I taken a bribe that I might hide my eyes with it; and I will give back to you.
1Sa 12:4 And they said, You have not oppressed us, and you have not crushed us, and you have not taken from the hand of any man.
1Sa 12:5 And he said to them, Jehovah is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand. And they said, He is witness.
1Sa 12:6 And Samuel said to the people, It is Jehovah who made Moses and Aaron, and who caused your fathers to go up from the land of Egypt.
1Sa 12:7 And now stand, and I will contend with you before the face of Jehovah regarding all the righteous acts of Jehovah which He did with you and with your fathers.
1Sa 12:8 When Jacob came into Egypt, and your fathers cried to Jehovah, then Jehovah sent Moses and Aaron; and they brought your fathers out from Egypt and made them dwell in this place.
1Sa 12:9 And they forgot Jehovah their God. And He sold them into the hand of Sisera, commander of the army of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab; and they fought against them.
1Sa 12:10 And they cried to Jehovah and said, We have sinned, for we forsook Jehovah and served the Baals and the Ashtoroth, but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies and we will serve You.
1Sa 12:11 And Jehovah sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you from the hand of your enemies from all around; and you lived securely.
1Sa 12:12 And you saw that Nahash the king of the sons of Ammon came against you, and you said to me, No, for a king shall reign over us even though Jehovah your God was king over you.
1Sa 12:13 And now, behold the king whom you chose, whom you requested. And behold Jehovah gave a king over you.
1Sa 12:14 If you will fear Jehovah and serve Him, and listen to His voice, and do not rebel against the mouth of Jehovah, then you, both you and also the king who reigns over you, shall follow Jehovah your God.
1Sa 12:15 But if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah, and you rebel against the mouth of Jehovah, then the hand of Jehovah shall be against you and against your fathers.
1Sa 12:16 Also, now present yourselves and see this great thing that Jehovah will do before your eyes.
1Sa 12:17 Is it not wheat harvest today? I will call to Jehovah and He will give sounds and rain. And know and see that your evil is great, that which you have done in the eyes of Jehovah, to ask a king for yourselves.
1Sa 12:18 And Samuel called to Jehovah. And Jehovah gave sounds and rain in that day. And all the people greatly feared Jehovah and Samuel.
1Sa 12:19 And all the people said to Samuel, Pray to Jehovah your God for your servants, that we may not die, for we have added this evil to all our sins to ask a king for ourselves.
1Sa 12:20 And Samuel said to the people, Do not fear. You have done all this evil, only do not turn aside from following Jehovah, and serve Jehovah with all your heart.
1Sa 12:21 And do not turn aside to go after worthless things which do not profit and do not deliver, for they are worthless.
1Sa 12:22 For Jehovah will not abandon His people, for the sake of His great name. For Jehovah undertakes to make you a people for Himself.
1Sa 12:23 Also I, far be it from me from sinning against Jehovah, from ceasing to pray for you. But I will instruct you in the good and the right way.
1Sa 12:24 Only fear Jehovah and serve Him in truth with all your heart, for see that He has done great things for you.
1Sa 12:25 But if you still do evilly, both you and your king will be swept away.

1 Samuel 11

1Sa 11:1 And Nahash the Ammonite went up and camped against Jabesh-gilead. And all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, Cut a covenant for us, and we will serve you.
1Sa 11:2 And Nahash the Ammonite said to them, With this I will cut a covenant for you, when every right eye is dug out for you; and I will make it a reproach on all Israel.
1Sa 11:3 And the elders of Jabesh said to him, Slack off from us seven days, and we will send messengers in all the boundary of Israel. And if there is no deliverer for us, then we will come out to you.
1Sa 11:4 And the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul. And they spoke the words in the ears of the people. And all the people lifted up their voice and wept.
1Sa 11:5 And, behold, Saul came behind the oxen from the field. And Saul said, What is it to the people, that they weep? And they related to him the words of the men of Jabesh.
1Sa 11:6 And the Spirit of God came powerfully on Saul when he heard these words, and his anger glowed greatly.
1Sa 11:7 And he took the team of oxen and cut them in pieces, and he sent them into all the boundary of Israel, by the hand of the messengers, saying, Whoever does not come out after Saul and after Samuel, so it shall be done to his oxen. And the fear of Jehovah fell on the people. And they came out as one man.
1Sa 11:8 And he mustered them in Bezek, and the sons of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah, thirty thousand.
1Sa 11:9 And they said to the messengers who came, So you shall say to the men of Jabesh-gilead. Tomorrow there shall be deliverance for you, in the heat of the sun. And the messengers came and related this to the men of Jabesh; and they rejoiced.
1Sa 11:10 And the men of Jabesh said, Tomorrow we will come out to you, and you do to us according to all that is good in your eyes.
1Sa 11:11 And it happened, on the next day Saul put the people in three heads, and they came into the midst of the camp in the morning watch and they struck Ammon until the heat of the day. And it was, the ones left were scattered; in them were not two left together.
1Sa 11:12 And the people said to Samuel, Who is he saying, Shall Saul reign over us? Give the men and we will execute them.
1Sa 11:13 And Saul said, Not a man shall be executed on this day, for today Jehovah worked deliverance in Israel.
1Sa 11:14 And Samuel said to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingdom there.
1Sa 11:15 And all the people went to Gilgal and made Saul to reign there in Gilgal, before the face of Jehovah. And they offered Sacrifices of peace offerings there before Jehovah. And Saul and all the men of Israel greatly rejoiced there.

And, behold, your father has left off the matters of the she asses and is anxious for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?
1Sa 10:3 And you will go on from there even further, and you will come to the great tree of Tabor. And you will find three men going up to God at Bethel, one carrying three kids, and one carrying three loaves of bread, and one carrying a skin of wine.
1Sa 10:4 And they will ask you of your welfare and give to you two loaves of bread, and you will take them from their hand.
1Sa 10:5 Afterward you will come to the hill of God where there is a fort of the Philistines. 1Sa 9:5 And they came to the land of Zuph, and Saul said to his young man with him, Come and we shall turn back, lest my father give up the asses and become anxious for us.
1Sa 9:6 And he said to him, Behold now, a man of God is in this city, and the man is held in honor. All that he speaks certainly comes to pass. Now let us go there. It may be he will declare our way to us on which we should go.
1Sa 9:7 And Saul said to his young man, Yea, behold, we will go. But what will we bring in to the man? For the bread from our vessels is gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What is with us?
1Sa 9:8 And the young man answered Saul again and said, Behold, I have found a fourth of a shekel of silver; and I shall give it to the man of God, and he shall declare our way to us.
1Sa 9:9 Before in Israel, a man who was going to seek God said this, Come and we shall go to the seer; for the prophet of today, before, was called the seer.

1Sa 9:12 And they replied to them and said, He is. See, he is before you. Hurry now, for today he will come into the city, for the people have a sacrifice in the high place.
1Sa 9:13 As you go into the city, so you shall find him, before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people will not eat until he comes, for he shall bless the sacrifice. Afterward they who are called will eat. And now, go up, for this day you will find him.
1Sa 9:14 And they went up to the city. They were coming into the middle of the city, and, behold, Samuel was coming out to meet them, to go up to the high place.
1Sa 9:15 And Jehovah revealed in Samuel’s ear one day before Saul came, saying,
1Sa 9:16 At this time tomorrow I will send to you a man out of the land of Benjamin. And you shall anoint him for the leader over My people Israel. And he shall save My people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have seen My people, for his cry has come to Me.
1Sa 9:17 When Samuel saw Saul, then Jehovah answered him, Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall exercise restraint over My people.
1Sa 9:18 And Saul drew near to Samuel amidst the gate, and said, Please tell me where is the seer’s house?
1Sa 9:19 And Samuel answered Saul and said, I am the seer. Go up before me into the high place, and you shall eat with me today. And I will send you away in the morning, and all that is in your heart, I will declare to you.
1Sa 9:20 And as to the asses which were lost to you three days ago, do not set your heart on them, for they have been found. And to whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not to you and to all the house of your father?
1Sa 9:21 And Saul answered and said, Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? And my family is the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin. And why have you spoken to me according to this word?
1Sa 9:22 And Samuel took Saul and his young man and brought them into the room, and gave to them a place at the head of the invited ones. And they were about thirty men.
1Sa 9:23 And Samuel said to the cook, Give the portion which I gave to you, of which I said to you, Set it beside you.
1Sa 9:24 And the cook lifted up the leg, and that on it, and set it before Saul. And he said, Behold that which is reserved. Set it before you, eat. For it has been kept for you for this appointed time, saying, I have invited the people. And Saul ate with Samuel on that day.
1Sa 9:25 And they came down from the high place to the city. And he spoke with Saul on the roof.
1Sa 9:26 And they rose up early, and about the going up of the dawn it happened that Samuel called to Saul on the roof, saying, Rise up, and I will send you away. And Saul rose up, and they went out, both of them, he and Samuel, to the outside.
1Sa 9:27 They were going down to the edge of the city, and Samuel said to Saul, Say to the young man that he should pass on before us and cross over. And you stand still at this time, and I will cause you to hear the Word of God.

1 Samuel 8

1Sa 8:1 And it happened when Samuel was old, he made his sons judges over Israel.
1Sa 8:2 And the name of his first-born was Joel, and the name of his second, Abiah, judges in Beer-sheba.
1Sa 8:3 And his sons did not walk in his ways, and turned aside after dishonest gain, and took a bribe, and perverted judgment.
1Sa 8:4 And all the elders of Israel gathered and came in to Samuel, to Ramah.
1Sa 8:5 And they said to him, Behold, you have become old, and your sons have not walked in your ways. Now appoint a king to us, to judge us, like all the nations.
1Sa 8:6 And the thing was evil in Samuel’s eyes when they said, Give to us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed to Jehovah.
1Sa 8:7 And Jehovah said to Samuel, Listen to the voice of the people, to all that they say to you. For they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from reigning over them.
1Sa 8:8 According to all the works that they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day, when they forsook Me and served other gods, so they are also doing to you.
1Sa 8:9 And now listen to their voice. Only, protesting you shall protest to them, and shall declare to them the privilege of the king who shall reign over them.
1Sa 8:10 And Samuel spoke all Jehovah’s Words to the people who were asking a king from him.
1Sa 8:11 And he said, This is the privilege of the king who shall reign over you. He shall take your sons and shall appoint them for himself among his chariots, and among his horsemen. And they shall run before his chariots.
1Sa 8:12 And he will appoint for himself heads of thousands, and heads of fifties; and to plow his plowing, and to reap his reaping; and to make weapons for war for him, and weapons for his charioteer.
1Sa 8:13 And he will take your daughters for perfumers, and for cooks, and for bakers.
1Sa 8:14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your olive-yards, the best, and give them to his servants.
1Sa 8:15 And he will tithe your seed and your vineyards, and will give them to his eunuchs and to his servants.
1Sa 8:16 And he will take your male slaves and your slave-girls, and the best of your young men, and your asses, and will use them for his own work.
1Sa 8:17 He will tithe your flock, and you will be servants to him.
1Sa 8:18 And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves. And Jehovah will not answer you in that day.
1Sa 8:19 And the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel, and said, No, but a king shall be over us.
1Sa 8:20 And we shall be, even we, like all the nations. And our king shall judge us and shall go out before us and fight our battles.
1Sa 8:21 And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and spoke them in the ears of Jehovah.
1Sa 8:22 And Jehovah said to Samuel, Listen to their voice, and you shall cause a king to reign over them. And Samuel said to the men of Israel, Each of you go to his city.

1 Samuel 7

1Sa 7:1 And the men of Kirjath-jearim came and brought up the ark of Jehovah, and brought it to the house of Abinadab, in the hill. And they sanctified his son Eleazar to keep the ark of Jehovah.
1Sa 7:2 And it happened from the day the ark began to dwell in Kirjath-jearim, the days became many; yea, they were twenty years. And all the house of Israel lamented after Jehovah.
1Sa 7:3 And Samuel said to all the house of Israel, saying, If you are returning to Jehovah with all your heart, put aside the foreign gods from among you, and the Ashtoroth. And prepare your heart to Jehovah, and serve Him only, and He will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
1Sa 7:4 And the sons of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and served Jehovah only.
1Sa 7:5 And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to Jehovah for you.
1Sa 7:6 And they were gathered to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured out before Jehovah. And they fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against Jehovah. And Samuel judged the sons of Israel in Mizpah.
1Sa 7:7 And the Philistines heard that the sons of Israel had gathered to Mizpah. And the rulers of the Philistines went up against Israel, and the sons of Israel heard, and were afraid before the Philistines.
1Sa 7:8 And the sons of Israel said to Samuel, Do not cease to cry to Jehovah our God for us, that He save us out of the hand of the Philistines.
1Sa 7:9 And Samuel took a milk lamb and offered a whole burnt offering to Jehovah. And Samuel cried to Jehovah for Israel. And Jehovah answered him.
1Sa 7:10 And it happened as Samuel made a whole burnt offering to go up, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. And Jehovah thundered with a great noise on that day, on the Philistines, and troubled them. And they were stricken before Israel.
1Sa 7:11 And the men of Israel went out from Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, and struck them as far as below Beth-car.
1Sa 7:12 And Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Stone of Help, saying, Jehovah has helped us until now.
1Sa 7:13 And the Philistines were subdued and did not yet again come into the border of Israel. And the hand of Jehovah was on the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
1Sa 7:14 And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even to Gath. And Israel delivered their border out of the hand of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.
1Sa 7:15 And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.
1Sa 7:16 And He went from year to year even in a circuit to Bethel, and Gilgal, and Mizpah, and judged Israel in all these places.
1Sa 7:17 And he returned to Ramah, for his house was there. And there he judged Israel; and he built an altar to Jehovah there.

1 Samuel 6

1Sa 6:1 And the ark of Jehovah was in the field of the Philistines seven months.
1Sa 6:2 And the Philistines called for priests and for those divining, saying, What shall we do to the ark of Jehovah? Let us know with what we shall send it to its place.
1Sa 6:3 And they said, If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, you shall not send it away empty. For turning back you shall return a guilt offering back to Him. Then you shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why His hand has not turned away from you.
1Sa 6:4 And they said, What shall be the guilt offering which we shall send back to Him? And they said, The number of the rulers of the Philistines, five golden hemorrhoids, and five golden mice. For one plague has been on all of you, and on your rulers.
1Sa 6:5 And you shall make images of your hemorrhoids, and images of your mice that are corrupting the land, and shall give honor to the God of Israel. It may be that He will lighten His hand from off you and from off your gods, and from off your land.
1Sa 6:6 And why do you harden your heart as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their heart? When He dealt ruthlessly with them, did they not send them away? And they went.
1Sa 6:7 And now, take and make one new cart, and two suckling cows, on which a yoke has never gone up. And you shall tie the cows to the cart, and cause their young ones to return home from them.
1Sa 6:8 And you shall take the ark of Jehovah and put it on the cart, and the vessels of gold which you shall return to Him for a guilt offering. Put them in a coffer in its side and send it away; and let it go.
1Sa 6:9 And watch; if it goes up by way of its own border, to Beth-shemesh, He has done this great evil to us. And if not, then we shall know that it is not His hand that touched us; it was an accident to us.
1Sa 6:10 And the men did so. And they took two suckling cows and tied them to the cart. And they shut their young ones in the house.
1Sa 6:11 And they placed the ark of Jehovah on the cart, and the coffer with the golden mice and the images of their hemorrhoids.
1Sa 6:12 And the cows went straight in the way, on the way to Beth-shemesh. They went on one highway, going and lowing. And they did not turn to the right or to the left. And the rulers of the Philistines went after them to the border of Beth-shemesh.
1Sa 6:13 And those of Beth-shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley. And they lifted up their eyes and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.
1Sa 6:14 And the cart had come to the field of Joshua the Bethshemite, and stood there. And there was a great stone. And they cut the wood of the cart, and they offered the cows as a burnt offering to Jehovah.
1Sa 6:15 And the Levites took the ark of Jehovah down, and the coffer which was with it, in which were the vessels of gold. And they placed them on the great stone. And the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices in that day to Jehovah.
1Sa 6:16 And the five rulers of the Philistines saw it, and turned back to Ekron on that day.
1Sa 6:17 And these were the golden hemorrhoids which the Philistines sent back as a guilt offering to Jehovah: one for Ashdod, one for Gaza, one for Ashkelon, one for Gath, one for Ekron:
1Sa 6:18 and the golden mice, the number of all the cities of the Philistines, for the five rulers, from the fortified city even to the hamlet of the villagers, even to the great meadow on which they placed the ark of Jehovah remain until this day in the field of Joshua the Beth-shemite.
1Sa 6:19 And he struck among the men of Beth-shemesh, because they looked into the ark of Jehovah. Yea, He struck seventy among the people, fifty out of a thousand men. And the people mourned because Jehovah destroyed among the people with a great destruction.
1Sa 6:20 And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? And to whom shall He go up from us?
1Sa 6:21 And they sent messengers to the ones living in Kirjath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have sent back the ark of Jehovah. Come down: take it up to you.

Gen 13:2 And Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver and in gold.
Gen 13:3 And he went on his journeys from the south, even to Bethel, to the place where his tent had been there at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai,

Gen 13:10 And Lot lifted up his eyes and saw all the circuit of Jordan, that it was well-watered before Jehovah destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even like the garden of Jehovah, like the land of Egypt as you come to Zoar.

Gen 13:12 And Abram lived in the land of Canaan, and Lot lived in the cities of the circuit, and tented as far as Sodom.
Gen 13:13 And the men of Sodom were evil and sinners before Jehovah, exceedingly so.
Gen 13:14 And after Lot had separated from him, Jehovah said to Abram, Now lift up your eyes and look northward and southward and eastward and westward from the place where you are.
Gen 13:15 For all the land which you see I will give to you, and to your seed always.
Gen 13:16 And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your seed also will be counted.
Gen 13:17 Rise up! Walk through the land, in its length and in its breadth, for I will give it to you.

Gen 8:10 And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.

Gen 7:23 And every living thing which was on the face of the earth was wiped away, from man to cattle, and to the creeping things, and the fowl of the heavens. And they were wiped off from the earth, and only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.

  • The Principle of Faith: “And all things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:22) “And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up” (James 5:15a)

  • The Principle of Priority: “Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) “Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud.” (Psalm 55:17)

  • The Principle of Adoration: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever.” (Revelation 5:12,13) “Enter into His courts with praise” (Psalm 100:4)

  • The Principle of Confession: “If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

  • The Principle of Supplication: “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men.” (1 Timothy 2:1) Supplication – specific requests.

  • The Principle of Thanksgiving: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians 4:6) “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” (Psalm 100:4)

Exo 20:3 You shall not have any other gods before Me.
Exo 20:4 You shall not make a graven image for yourself, or any likeness in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth;
Exo 20:5 you shall not bow to them, and you shall not serve them; for I am Jehovah your God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those that hate Me;
Exo 20:6 and doing kindness to thousands, to those loving Me, and to those keeping My commandments.
Exo 20:7 You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain; for Jehovah will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain.
Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy;
Exo 20:9 six days you shall labor and do all your work;
Exo 20:10 and the seventh day is a sabbath to Jehovah your God; you shall not do any work, you, and your son, and your daughter, your male slave and your slave-girl, and your livestock, and your stranger who is in your gates.
Exo 20:11 For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all which is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; on account of this Jehovah blessed the sabbath day and sanctified it.
Exo 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long on the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you.
Exo 20:13 You shall not murder.
Exo 20:14 You shall not commit adultery.
Exo 20:15 You shall not steal.
Exo 20:16 You shall not testify a witness of falsehood against your neighbor.
Exo 20:17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male slave, or his slave-girl, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which belongs to your neighbor.
Exo 20:18 And all the people saw the thunders, and the lightnings, and the sound of the ram’s horn, and the smoking mountain. And the people looked, and they trembled, and they stood from a distance.
Exo 20:19 And they said to Moses, You speak with us, and we will hear. And let us not speak with God, that we not die.
Exo 20:20 And Moses said to the people, Do not be afraid, for God has come in order to test you, and so that His fear may be on your faces, that you may not sin.
Exo 20:21 And the people stood from a distance, and Moses went near the thick darkness where God was.
Exo 20:22 And Jehovah said to Moses, You shall say this to the sons of Israel, You have seen that I have spoken with you from the heavens.
Exo 20:23 You shall not make gods of silver along with Me, and you shall not make gods of gold for yourselves.
Exo 20:24 You shall make an altar of earth for Me, and you shall sacrifice your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on it, your sheep and your cattle. In every place in which I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and will bless you.
Exo 20:25 And if you make an altar of stone for Me, you shall not build them of cut stones. When you swing your tool on it, you defile it.
Exo 20:26 And you shall not go up by steps to My altar, that your nakedness may not be uncovered on it.
