1 <\/b> I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord, forever;<\/p>\n
with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.<\/p>\n
2 <\/b> For I said, \u201cSteadfast love will be built up forever;<\/p>\n
in the heavens you will establish your faithfulness.\u201d<\/p>\n
3 <\/b> You have said, \u201cI have made a covenant with my chosen one;<\/p>\n
I have sworn to David my servant:<\/p>\n
4 <\/b> \u2018I will establish your offspring forever,<\/p>\n
and build your throne for all generations.\u2019\u00a0\u201d Selah<\/i><\/p>\n
5 <\/b> Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord,<\/p>\n
your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones!<\/p>\n
6 <\/b> For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?<\/p>\n
Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord,<\/p>\n
7 <\/b> a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones,<\/p>\n
and awesome above all who are around him?<\/p>\n
8 <\/b> O Lord God of hosts,<\/p>\n
who is mighty as you are, O Lord,<\/p>\n
with your faithfulness all around you?<\/p>\n
9 <\/b> You rule the raging of the sea;<\/p>\n
when its waves rise, you still them.<\/p>\n
10 <\/b> You crushed Rahab like a carcass;<\/p>\n
you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.<\/p>\n
11 <\/b> The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours;<\/p>\n
the world and all that is in it, you have founded them.<\/p>\n
12 <\/b> The north and the south, you have created them;<\/p>\n
Tabor and Hermon joyously praise your name.<\/p>\n

strong is your hand, high your right hand.<\/p>\n
14 <\/b> Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;<\/p>\n
steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.<\/p>\n

and in your righteousness are exalted.<\/p>\n

by your favor our horn is exalted.<\/p>\n
18 <\/b> For our shield belongs to the Lord,<\/p>\n
our king to the Holy One of Israel.<\/p>\n
19 <\/b> Of old you spoke in a vision to your godly one, and said:<\/p>\n
\u201cI have granted help to one who is mighty;<\/p>\n
I have exalted one chosen from the people.<\/p>\n
20 <\/b> I have found David, my servant;<\/p>\n
with my holy oil I have anointed him,<\/p>\n
21 <\/b> so that my hand shall be established with him;<\/p>\n
my arm also shall strengthen him.<\/p>\n
22 <\/b> The enemy shall not outwit him;<\/p>\n
the wicked shall not humble him.<\/p>\n
23 <\/b> I will crush his foes before him<\/p>\n
and strike down those who hate him.<\/p>\n
24 <\/b> My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him,<\/p>\n
and in my name shall his horn be exalted.<\/p>\n
25 <\/b> I will set his hand on the sea<\/p>\n
and his right hand on the rivers.<\/p>\n
26 <\/b> He shall cry to me, \u2018You are my Father,<\/p>\n
my God, and the Rock of my salvation.\u2019<\/p>\n
27 <\/b> And I will make him the firstborn,<\/p>\n
the highest of the kings of the earth.<\/p>\n
28 <\/b> My steadfast love I will keep for him forever,<\/p>\n
and my covenant will stand firm for him.<\/p>\n
29 <\/b> I will establish his offspring forever<\/p>\n
and his throne as the days of the heavens.<\/p>\n
30 <\/b> If his children forsake my law<\/p>\n
and do not walk according to my rules,<\/p>\n
31 <\/b> if they violate my statutes<\/p>\n
and do not keep my commandments,<\/p>\n
32 <\/b> then I will punish their transgression with the rod<\/p>\n
and their iniquity with stripes,<\/p>\n
33 <\/b> but I will not remove from him my steadfast love<\/p>\n
or be false to my faithfulness.<\/p>\n
34 <\/b> I will not violate my covenant<\/p>\n
or alter the word that went forth from my lips.<\/p>\n
35 <\/b> Once for all I have sworn by my holiness;<\/p>\n
I will not lie to David.<\/p>\n
36 <\/b> His offspring shall endure forever,<\/p>\n
his throne as long as the sun before me.<\/p>\n
37 <\/b> Like the moon it shall be established forever,<\/p>\n
a faithful witness in the skies.\u201d Selah<\/i><\/p>\n
38 <\/b> But now you have cast off and rejected;<\/p>\n
you are full of wrath against your anointed.<\/p>\n
39 <\/b> You have renounced the covenant with your servant;<\/p>\n
you have defiled his crown in the dust.<\/p>\n
40 <\/b> You have breached all his walls;<\/p>\n
you have laid his strongholds in ruins.<\/p>\n
41 <\/b> All who pass by plunder him;<\/p>\n
he has become the scorn of his neighbors.<\/p>\n
42 <\/b> You have exalted the right hand of his foes;<\/p>\n
you have made all his enemies rejoice.<\/p>\n
43 <\/b> You have also turned back the edge of his sword,<\/p>\n
and you have not made him stand in battle.<\/p>\n
44 <\/b> You have made his splendor to cease<\/p>\n
and cast his throne to the ground.<\/p>\n
45 <\/b> You have cut short the days of his youth;<\/p>\n

46 <\/b> How long, O Lord? Will you hide yourself forever?<\/p>\n
How long will your wrath burn like fire?<\/p>\n
