{"id":340,"date":"2009-09-29T23:02:11","date_gmt":"2006-11-04T04:35:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/eng\/1-peter-3"},"modified":"2006-11-03T23:35:37","modified_gmt":"2006-11-04T04:35:37","slug":"1-peter-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/2009\/09\/29\/1-peter-3\/","title":{"rendered":"1 Peter 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1Pe 3:1  Likewise, wives, submitting yourselves to your own husbands, that even if any disobey the Word, through the behavior of the wives, without a word they will be won,<br \/>\n1Pe 3:2  observing your pure behavior in fear.<br \/>\n1Pe 3:3  Of whom let it not be the outward act of braiding of hairs, and of putting gold around, or of clothing, garments of adornment,<br \/>\n1Pe 3:4  but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of the meek and quiet spirit, which is of great value before God.<br \/>\n1Pe 3:5  For so once indeed the holy women who were hoping on God adorned themselves, submitting themselves to their own husbands,<br \/>\n1Pe 3:6  as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children you became, doing good, and fearing no terror. Gen. 18:12<br \/>\n1Pe 3:7  Likewise, husbands, dwelling together according to knowledge, as with a weaker vessel, the female, bestowing honor, as truly being co-heirs of the grace of life, not cutting off your prayers.<br \/>\n1Pe 3:8  And, finally, be all of one mind, sympathetic, loving the brothers, tenderhearted, friendly,<br \/>\n1Pe 3:9  not giving back evil for evil, or reviling against reviling; but, on the contrary, give blessing; knowing that you were called to this in order that you might inherit blessing.<br \/>\n1Pe 3:10  &#8220;For the one desiring to love life, and to see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, even his lips not to speak guile.<br \/>\n1Pe 3:11  Let him turn aside from evil, and let him do good. Let him seek peace, and pursue it;<br \/>\n1Pe 3:12  because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears open to their prayer.
