{"id":425,"date":"2022-08-01T14:08:11","date_gmt":"2022-08-01T18:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/eng\/proverbs-15"},"modified":"2022-08-01T14:08:11","modified_gmt":"2022-08-01T18:08:11","slug":"proverbs-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/2022\/08\/01\/proverbs-15\/","title":{"rendered":"Proverb 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pro 15:1  A soft answer turns back wrath, but a hurtful word stirs up anger.<br \/>\nPro 15:2  The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.<br \/>\nPro 15:3  The eyes of Jehovah are in every place watching the evil and the good.<br \/>\nPro 15:4  A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it is a break of the spirit.<br \/>\nPro 15:5  A fool despises his father&#8217;s instruction, but he keeping correction is sensible.<br \/>\nPro 15:6  In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but in the gain of the wicked is tumult.<br \/>\nPro 15:7  The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of the fool is not so.<br \/>\nPro 15:8  The sacrifice of the wicked is a hateful thing to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.<br \/>\nPro 15:9  The way of the wicked is hateful to Jehovah, but He loves him who pursues righteousness.<br \/>\nPro 15:10  Discipline is grievous to him who forsakes the way, he who hates reproof shall die.<br \/>\nPro 15:11  Hell and destruction are before Jehovah; even more the hearts of the sons of men!<br \/>\nPro 15:12  A scorner does not love one who corrects him, nor will he go to the wise.<br \/>\nPro 15:13  A joyful heart makes a good face, but by grief of heart the spirit is stricken.<br \/>\nPro 15:14  The heart of the understanding one seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on folly.<br \/>\nPro 15:15  All the days of the afflicted are evil, but gladness of heart is a continual feast.<br \/>\nPro 15:16  Better is a little with the fear of Jehovah than great treasure and tumult with it.<br \/>\nPro 15:17  Better is a dinner of vegetables where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred with it.<br \/>\nPro 15:18  A furious man stirs up quarreling, but he who is slow to anger calms fighting.<br \/>\nPro 15:19  The way of the lazy one is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of the righteous is exalted.<br \/>\nPro 15:20  A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.<br \/>\nPro 15:21  Foolishness is joy to him who lacks understanding, but a man of understanding directs his going.<br \/>\nPro 15:22  Without counsel purposes are broken, but by many counselors they rise.<br \/>\nPro 15:23  A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and how good is a word in its season!<br \/>\nPro 15:24  The path of life is upward to the prudent, that he may turn away from Sheol downward.<br \/>\nPro 15:25  Jehovah will destroy the house of the proud, but He will set up the widow&#8217;s border.<br \/>\nPro 15:26  The thoughts of the wicked are very hateful to Jehovah, but the words of pleasantness are pure.<br \/>\nPro 15:27  He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes shall live.<br \/>\nPro 15:28  The heart of the righteous muses how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.<br \/>\nPro 15:29  Jehovah is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.<br \/>\nPro 15:30  The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, a good report makes the bones fat.<br \/>\nPro 15:31  The ear that hears the reproof of life shall remain among the wise.<br \/>\nPro 15:32  He casting off correction despises his own soul, but he who hears reproof gets understanding.<br \/>\nPro 15:33  The fear of Jehovah is instruction in wisdom, and before honor is humility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pro 15:1 A soft answer turns back wrath, but a hurtful word stirs up anger.
