{"id":4281,"date":"2009-04-03T17:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-03T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/april2009\/?p=20"},"modified":"2011-11-12T17:41:17","modified_gmt":"2011-11-12T22:41:17","slug":"do-you-walk-in-white-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/2009\/04\/03\/do-you-walk-in-white-2\/","title":{"rendered":"DO YOU WALK IN WHITE?"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Buried with Him &#8230; that &#8230; even so we also should walk<br \/>\n     in newness of life.<\/p>\n<p>     &#8212; Romans 6:4<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>No one enters into the experience of entire sanctification without<br \/>\ngoing through a &#8220;white funeral&#8221; &#8211; the burial of the old life. If<br \/>\nthere has never been this crisis of death, sanctification is nothing<br \/>\nmore than a vision. There must be a &#8220;white funeral,&#8221; &#8211; a death that<br \/>\nhas only one resurrection &#8211; a resurrection into the life of Jesus<br \/>\nChrist. Nothing can upset such a life, it is one with God for one<br \/>\npurpose, to be a witness to Him.<\/p>\n<p>Have you come to your last days really? You have come to them often<br \/>\nin sentiment, but have you come to them really? You cannot go to your<br \/>\nfuneral in excitement, or die in excitement. Death means you stop<br \/>\nbeing. Do you agree with God that you stop being the striving,<br \/>\nearnest kind of Christian you have been? We skirt the cemetery and<br \/>\nall the time refuse to go to death. It is not striving to go to<br \/>\ndeath, it is dying &#8211; &#8220;baptized into His death.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Have you had your &#8220;white funeral,&#8221; or are you sacredly playing the<br \/>\nfool with your soul? Is there a place in your life marked as the last<br \/>\nday, a place to which the memory goes back with a chastened and<br \/>\nextraordinarily grateful remembrance &#8211; &#8220;Yes, it was then, at that<br \/>\n&#8216;white funeral,&#8217; that I made an agreement with God.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is the will of God, even your sanctification.&#8221; When you realize<br \/>\nwhat the will of God is, you will enter into sanctification as<br \/>\nnaturally as can be. Are you willing to go through that &#8220;white<br \/>\nfuneral&#8221; now? Do you agree with Him that this is your last day on<br \/>\nearth?
