{"id":637,"date":"2024-02-04T11:18:39","date_gmt":"2024-02-04T16:18:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/eng\/job-9"},"modified":"2024-02-04T11:18:42","modified_gmt":"2024-02-04T16:18:42","slug":"job-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/2024\/02\/04\/job-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Job 9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job 9:1  And Job answered and said:<br \/>\nJob 9:2  Truly I know it is so; but how can man be just with God?<br \/>\nJob 9:3  If he would argue with Him, he cannot answer Him one of a thousand.<br \/>\nJob 9:4  He is wise in heart and mighty in strength; who has been hard against Him and been at peace?<br \/>\nJob 9:5  He who moves the mountains, and they do not know; when He overturns them in His anger;<br \/>\nJob 9:6  who shakes the earth out of its place, and its pillars tremble;<br \/>\nJob 9:7  the One speaking to the sun and it does not rise; and He sets a seal around the stars;<br \/>\nJob 9:8  stretching out the heavens by Himself, and walking on the waves of the sea;<br \/>\nJob 9:9  who made the Bear, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south;<br \/>\nJob 9:10  who is doing great things past finding out; yea, marvelous things without number?<br \/>\nJob 9:11  Behold, He goes by me, and I do not see Him; and He passes on, but I do not perceive Him.<br \/>\nJob 9:12  Behold, He takes away; who can turn Him back? Who will say to Him, What are You doing?<br \/>\nJob 9:13  God will not withdraw His anger; the helpers of pride stoop under Him.<br \/>\nJob 9:14  How much less shall I answer Him, and choose my words with Him!<br \/>\nJob 9:15  Though I were righteous, I could not answer Him; I seek mercy for my judgment.<br \/>\nJob 9:16  If I had called and He had answered me; I would not believe that He had listened to my voice;<br \/>\nJob 9:17  who breaks me with a tempest, and adds to my wounds without cause;<br \/>\nJob 9:18  who will not allow me to bring back my breath, but fills me with bitterness.<br \/>\nJob 9:19  If I speak of strength, behold, He is mighty; and if of judgment, who can summon me?<br \/>\nJob 9:20  If I justify myself, my mouth will condemn me; though I am perfect, He shall declare me perverse;<br \/>\nJob 9:21  though I were perfect, I would not know my own soul; I despise my life.<br \/>\nJob 9:22  It is One; so then I said, He is consuming the perfect and the wicked.<br \/>\nJob 9:23  If the whip kills suddenly, He will mock at the testing of the innocent.<br \/>\nJob 9:24  The earth is given into the hand of the wicked; He covers the faces of its judges. If it is not He, then who is it?<br \/>\nJob 9:25  Now my days are swifter than a runner; they flee away; they see no good;<br \/>\nJob 9:26  they have passed away like the reed ships; as an eagle swoops on food.<br \/>\nJob 9:27  If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will loosen my face and be cheerful,<br \/>\nJob 9:28  I am afraid of all my sorrows; I know that You will not hold me innocent;<br \/>\nJob 9:29  I have been condemned; why should I labor in vain?<br \/>\nJob 9:30  If I wash myself with snow, and make my hands clean with soap,<br \/>\nJob 9:31  yet You will plunge me into the ditch, and my own clothes would abhor me.<br \/>\nJob 9:32  For He is not a man, as I am, that I should answer Him; that we should come together in judgment;<br \/>\nJob 9:33  there is no mediator between us, who might lay his hand on both of us.<br \/>\nJob 9:34  Let Him take His rod away from me, and let not His dread make me afraid;<br \/>\nJob 9:35  then I would speak, and not fear Him; for I am not so in myself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job 9:1 And Job answered and said: Job 9:2 Truly I know it is so; but how can man be just with God?
