I read this article from John Piper?s ministry – very to the point.<\/p>\n
1Ti 5:1 Never speak harshly to an older man, but appeal to him as if he were your father. Treat younger men like brothers,<\/p>\n
1Ti 5:2 older women like mothers, and younger women like sisters, with absolute purity.<\/p>\n
Believers are to be evenly yoked with fellow believers.<\/p>\n
Dating someone within the church means that you are spending time with your brothers and sisters,<\/p>\n
A man who meets a women at church and decides to court her, sleeping with her would be then sleeping with his sister,<\/p>\n
UNLESS<\/p>\n
They were to get married in which case she would not be his sister, but his wife.<\/p>\n
Rom 13:13 Let us behave decently, as people who live in the light of day. No wild parties, drunkenness, sexual immorality, promiscuity, rivalry, or jealousy!<\/p>\n
1Co 6:18 Keep on running away from sexual immorality. Any other sin that a person commits is outside his body, but the person who sins sexually sins against his own body.<\/p>\n
1Co 7:2 But because sexual immorality is so rampant, every man should have his own wife, and every woman should have her own husband.<\/p>\n
2Co 12:21 I am afraid that when I come my God may again humble me before you and that I may have to grieve over many who formerly lived in sin and have not repented of their impurity, sexual immorality, and promiscuity that they once practiced.<\/p>\n
Eph 4:19 Since they have lost all sense of shame, they have abandoned themselves to sensuality and practice every kind of sexual perversion without restraint.<\/p>\n
1Th 4:3 For this is God’s will, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication,<\/p>\n
1Th 4:4 each one of you to know to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor,<\/p>\n
