{"id":723,"date":"2024-03-25T00:19:02","date_gmt":"2024-03-25T04:19:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/eng\/proverbs-21"},"modified":"2024-03-25T00:19:15","modified_gmt":"2024-03-25T04:19:15","slug":"proverbs-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/purposedriven.ca\/wiki\/2024\/03\/25\/proverbs-21\/","title":{"rendered":"Proverb 21"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pro 21:1  As streams of waters, the king&#8217;s heart is in the hand of Jehovah; He turns it wherever He desires.<br \/>\nPro 21:2  Every way of a man is upright in his own eyes, but Jehovah measures the hearts.<br \/>\nPro 21:3  For Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice is to be chosen more than sacrifice.<br \/>\nPro 21:4  High eyes, a proud heart, and the uncultivated mind of the wicked, is sin.<br \/>\nPro 21:5  The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenty, but those of every hasty one only to poverty.<br \/>\nPro 21:6  The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vapor driven by those who seek death.<br \/>\nPro 21:7  The violence of the wicked drags them down, because they refuse to do justice.<br \/>\nPro 21:8  The way of a guilty man is perverted; but the pure, his way is upright.<br \/>\nPro 21:9  It is better to dwell on a corner of a housetop, than with a contentious woman, and to share a house.<br \/>\nPro 21:10  The soul of the wicked desires evil, his neighbor finds no favor in his eyes.<br \/>\nPro 21:11  The simple is made wise when the scorner is punished, and when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.<br \/>\nPro 21:12  The Righteous One wisely considers the house of the wicked: He overthrows the wicked for his evil.<br \/>\nPro 21:13  Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he himself shall also call, and shall not be answered.<br \/>\nPro 21:14  A gift in secret subdues anger; yea, a bribe in the bosom quiets great fury.<br \/>\nPro 21:15  It is joy to the just to do justice, but ruin shall come to the workers of iniquity.<br \/>\nPro 21:16  The man who wanders out of the way of prudence shall rest in the congregation of departed spirits.<br \/>\nPro 21:17  A man who loves pleasure shall be poor, he who loves wine and oil shall not be rich.<br \/>\nPro 21:18  The wicked shall be a ransom for the just, and the treacherous in the place of the upright.<br \/>\nPro 21:19  It is better to live in a land of the wilderness than with a woman of strivings and anger.<br \/>\nPro 21:20  A desirable treasure and oil are in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man swallows it.<br \/>\nPro 21:21  He who pursues righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness and honor.<br \/>\nPro 21:22  A wise one ascends the city of the mighty and topples the strength in which it trusts.<br \/>\nPro 21:23  Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from distresses.<br \/>\nPro 21:24  Proud, haughty scorner is his name, he who deals in proud wrath.<br \/>\nPro 21:25  The lust of the lazy man kills him, for his hands have refused to work.<br \/>\nPro 21:26  He lusts with lust all the day long, but the righteous gives and does not withhold.<br \/>\nPro 21:27  The sacrifice of the wicked is hateful, how much more when he brings it with an evil intent!<br \/>\nPro 21:28  A false witness shall perish, but the man who attends will speak forever.<br \/>\nPro 21:29  A wicked man hardens his face, but the upright establishes his way.<br \/>\nPro 21:30  There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel before Jehovah.<br \/>\nPro 21:31  The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but to Jehovah belongs deliverance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pro 21:1 As streams of waters, the king&#8217;s heart is in the hand of Jehovah; He turns it wherever He desires.
