In the Old Testament – what was the hope fulfilled at death? The New Testament is full of Spiritual hope and life after death. In the first covenant, a believer truly thought all the religious ceremony offered harmony on earth with an angry God. But the sacrifice did not cleanse the conscious of the believer, the washing away of sins did not come until Christ taught that His death would accomplish everything in full payment for man’s sins. There was no Salvation yet – prophecy showed a hint of life to come for man on earth. Christ’s teachings offered new hope, sought-after deep wisdom and groundbreaking common sense defeatist ideals. Men of the old era truly were in the dark about the abundance mentality of eternal life with Jehovah, they were too distracted by their guilt and unforgiveness of an angry Sovereign Lord. Praise be to God for His promises of fulfilling centuries of prophecy with our Redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen.
