Ephesians 2:4

Sola Gratia – Grace alone

Attacks of temptation upon the Spirit of Christ with me
Satan hates Christ, Satan can’t attack Christ directly. Indirectly he attacks the Life of Christ in us.
He wants to tear down Christ’s work in us to embarass God’s plan of Salvation

Separation – Vengance

We cannot save ourselves, we are in need of a Saviour

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

TULIP
Total Depravity
Unconditional Election
Limited Atonement
Irristable Grace
Perseverance of the Saints

Ephesians 2:4

Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ–by grace you have been saved–
Eph 2:6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Eph 2:7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

God is in a fixed position, we turn, move away, choose to draw near

Grace is unmerited Love, all at Christ’s expense
Grace is unmerited Favour

Ministry of Reconciliation –

2 Corinthians 5:18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;

He cannot increase, nor decrease – God is constant, all powerful (El Shaddai), never lacking

EL-SHADDAI (Genesis 17:1, Psalm 91:1) meaning “The God of the mountains or God Almighty”

Being abased, total surrender

Intimate relationship

Created equal under God, saved or not saved

Christ paid fully for my sin
Christ paid fully for guy I don’t get along with, his sin – We need to forgive him because Christ’s Blood has covered it.

Christ paid for ALL sin

Romans 5:17 For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

Manufactured faith is inadequate

God does all the work
We are dead in our transgressions

Colossians 2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
Colossians 2:14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Antinomy – One absolute Truth
Not two conflicting truths

Antinomianism

Choosing Truth daily, moment by moment

Point of Grace (Justification), breaking point

God’s call to the elect, undeterred

Was blind and now I see – Amazing Grace (hymn)

Spiritual clarity
Spiritual illumination

Talking back to the devil

Standing in the Light, as He is in the light

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
