Romans 5:14-21 | Timely Grace Supercedes
Rom 5:14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.
Rom 5:15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man?s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.
Rom 5:16 And the free gift is not like the result of that one man?s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification.
Rom 5:17 For if, because of one man?s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
Rom 5:18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.
Rom 5:19 For as by the one man?s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man?s obedience the many will be made righteous.
Rom 5:20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,
Rom 5:21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The fiery deluge of divine vengeance, which has been gathering and swelling for thousands of years; but has been, as it were, restrained and kept within bounds by divine patience?shall then rise so high as to burst through all restraints, and overwhelm the guilty globe, and turn it into a universal ocean of liquid fire! This resistless torrent shall sweep away all the refuges of lies, and those who trusted in them?into the gulf of remediless destruction! (Samuel Davies)
2 Corinthians 3 | Permanent Righteousness Exceeds
2 Cor 3:8 will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory?
2 Cor 3:9 For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory.
2 Cor 3:10 Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it.
2 Cor 3:11 For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory.
Ofalex Copa ? “…much more will those who receive the abundance of grace…”
Rom 5:17 For if, because of one man?s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 | Ministry of Reconciliation in Christ
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
— 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.
— 2 Corinthians 4:15
The longer Justice is delayed, the heavier the judicial expectancy is to be applied in the end — it consumes and is undeniable Victory when the dam of God’s wrath and patience breaks and the flood of God’s divine love and mercy is displayed. Forever sin and death are defeated and God (in Christ Jesus) have shown the eternal Justice and Righteousness of a loving Creator Father. He is at enmity with what is not like Him. Purified we can boldly approach Him as His own.
